Our Story

Kingston Grandmother Connection began in 2006, as part of a powerful movement of Canadian women supporting Grandmothers in Africa. Due to the AIDS pandemic which had devastated many African countries, Grandmothers were losing their adult children and taking on the care of their grandchildren, under difficult circumstances. We decided to help.

Each year our volunteers hold one or more physical Markets where we sell a variety of goods to raise funds for these Grandmothers. Due to COVID-19 challenges, we are now selling on line.

All sale proceeds are directed to Help Lesotho and The Stephen Lewis Foundation's Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.

Most of the products we sell have been crafted by our talented members, others have been donated by local artists or makers. Almost all are one of a kind. You won't find them anywhere else! And you are assured that your purchase will make a difference.
